Laser Blended Vision (LBV) is available in Laser eye clinics in Christchurch, Wellington, Hamilton, and Auckland. But not all clinics in each city have the Zeiss LBV procedure to offer.
The current cost of Laser Blended Vision varies from $6300 in Wellington to $6100 in Auckland, $6900 in Christchurch and $6960 in Hamilton.
Bowen Eye Clinic’s current fee for Laser Blended Vision is NZ $6300 inclusive of GST ($3150 inc GST per eye). If you have never worn glasses before and are now finding that you need reading glasses for close up activities you may only need one eye treated.
The fee includes your pre-op consultation with the surgeon, surgery and post-op checks the following day, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months and 6 months and any enhancement procedure should you require it.
There are no other hidden costs.
Finance is available through Q Card, an attractive payment method offering an interest free time period for 12 months.
Currently all medical insurance companies in New Zealand do not cover Laser Blended Vision as it is classed as a ‘cosmetic procedure’. If you have medical insurance you can check with them to confirm what your policy covers.
At Bowen Eye Clinic, Dr Reece Hall will check your vision for suitability for Laser Blended Vision and discuss your lifestyle preferences with you in order to tailor your procedure to meet your individual visual needs.
The treatment typically lasts more than 15 years, and is best suited for those aged 40 to 65 years old. It is suitable for those who are myopic (short sighted), hyperopic (long sighted) or have astigmatism, or a combination.
Consider putting off announcing the arrival of middle age with your reading glasses and contact Bowen Eye Clinic on 0800 69 20 20 to make the best decision ever.
