How much does Laser Eye Surgery cost in New Zealand?

The big question that we commonly are asked is “how much does laser eye surgery cost?”

In New Zealand the advertised price for Laser Eye Surgery seems comparable but does vary, ranging from:

$3300 per eye in Wellington (Bowen Eye Clinic)

While all ophthalmologists offer the latest technology, and similar finance plans, the difference is in the patient experience and that’s why Bowen Eye Clinic is the preferred clinic.

Best Follow Up Care

We are the only laser practice where your surgeon, Dr Reece Hall sees you at all of your follow up appointments and if you are coming from out of town, our booking staff will ensure that these are made closest to your home town.

Any enhancement procedure within the year, if required.

Is Laser Eye Surgery worth the money?

Laser vision correction may seem expensive as an initial cost. However, most people will pay much less for LASIK over a lifetime than they would spend on annual eye checks, glasses, lens fitting, solutions or contact lenses, with the payback after about 10 years. Not to mention the hassle of fogged up or lost glasses, fiddling with contacts, the inconvenience of poor eyesight.

The big feedback we commonly hear is “I wish I had done it sooner”.

When it comes to considering the cost of laser eye surgery, the most important step is to find out if you’re suitable. To do that, either email us: info@boweneye.co.nz or give us a call 0800 69 2020 for a free suitability assessment with Dr Reece Hall at one of the Bowen Eye Clinics in Wellington, Palmerston North, Waikanae or Nelson.
